Children’s Religious Education

CHILDREN’S EDUCATION: The Religious Education Committee welcomes school age children to First Day School each Sunday. Following 20 minutes of silent worship, the children gather to engage in the activity scheduled for that day. These activities might include Quaker history; Bible study; art; or service to the larger community. Additionally, the Religious Education Committee provides parents with biannual dinners, which offer an informal and supportive forum in which to discuss child-rearing in the context of Quakerism. Parents are invited to join the committee and to create more events that celebrate our families.
